As required by ARS 15-321 you are officially notified of an organizational meeting of the Miami Unified School District No. 40 Governing Board Regular Meeting to take place at the regular Board Meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, July 16, 2018. This meeting will be held in the Miami Junior Senior High School Library.

On May 14, 2018 an incident was reported to the Miami Junior Senior High School principal in the early afternoon.  The report consisted of two students that may have had weapons and were making threats.  Within 90 seconds of the report, the two students were apprehended.  An investigation was completed and the students have been removed from school for the remainder of the year.  Based on the possible threats, the Gila County Sheriff’s office has committed to have additional officers on campus during eighth grade promotion.
