Eighth Grade Promotion

There will be two informational meetings for parents and children in this year's fifth and sixth grade classes. The first meeting will be held on May 8th at 3:30 p.m. at Miami Junior-Senior High School auditorium. The second meeting will be a repeat of the first meeting for any parent and child who cannot make the first meeting. It will be held on May 14th at 5:30 p.m. at Miami Junior-Senior High School auditorium. Superintendent Dorathy and Principal Lineberry will present information regarding the move of sixth grade to Miami Junior-Senior High School. We will address any questions and concerns, and are hoping to gain valuable parent insights and suggestions.

MHS Varsity Spiritline and MJSHS Junior High Spiritline tryouts will be held April 29- May 2nd from 4:30-5:30 pm in the Vandal Gymnasium. Completed paperwork including physicals and grade checks need to be submitted to the MJSHS office no later than April 25th. Jumps, kicks, splits, and turns will be evaluated. Participants will also be taught a cheer, dance, and are required to add on an additional three 8-counts of original choreography to the taught routine.
